Cowboy Mouth is New Orleans rock n' roll. Every year they trek across the United States shouting at the top of their lungs the joys of being alive and from New Orleans with their annual Rock N' Roll Mardi Gras Tour.
Cowboy Mouth's EP, Mardi Gras, consists of classics from Carnival season, including Professor Longhair's Go To The Mardi Gras, James "Sugar Boy" Crawford's Iko Iko, Al Johnson's Carnival Time and a medley of Ernie K-Doe's Hurry Up And Know It and Make You Love Me. The album kicks it up a notch by featuring horns from NOLA's own Bonerama! Closing out the album is a stripped down, acoustic version of their Voodoo Shoppe era, post-Katrina ballad The Avenue.
